Never lay the cover flat on a table-top. Create distance between the cover and the tabletop by placing a tray, ball or bucket underneath, for instance. Similarly, always create a slope, so that water can slide off the cover and no water pockets can form. Never leave cushions under the cover for long periods (weeks). Remove the covers from your furniture regularly to allow them to air out. Store cushion bags indoors.
