Why a square shade cloth or sunshade?
A square shade cloth has many advantages. It is an economical and easy way to transform your garden into a lovely place in the shade. Shade cloths are easy to hang up and to clean up during the winter. The material is water-repellent, mildew resistant and made of a lightweight polyester. In addition, a shade cloth protects up to 95% against UV radiation and is a stylish addition to your patio or garden.
Square shade cloths are often used for gardens or terraces, while the triangular shade cloths are also a beautiful solution on balconies.
Buy shade cloths in all shapes and sizes
There are two different shapes of shade cloths in square category. There are square and rectangular shade cloths. We have these from two different brands in our range, namely Nesling and NC Outdoor. Both brands offer both square and triangular cloths.
There are different sizes on the market, so you have small sunshades square of 3x3 and the larger shade cloths square of 5x5. The smallest model in our range is square shade cloth Coolfit 3.6m and the largest shade cloth of 5.0m Nesling.

Square shade cloth: permeable or waterproof?
Square shade cloths are available in two different variants. Shadow cloths with an open structure and shadow cloths with a dense structure. The cloths with an open structure are wind and water permeable. This does not mean that the permeable structure will not retain water, but in case of a heavy shower, you will still get wet.
The shade cloths with a closed structure are waterproof. Please note that there is an incline when hanging the waterproof shade cloth and that this material is susceptible to strong gusts of wind.
In our assortment, you will only find water-repellent shade cloths, both for square and rectangular shade cloths. You can leave these cloths hanging during the entire summer season and the wind will have little effect on them. During the winter, it is best to store the cloth in the shed or in the attic.
How to hang a four-sided shade cloth?
Attaching or hanging a shade cloth square is very simple. With four different attachment points, you can attach the cloth to different surfaces. For example, you can attach the cloth to a wooden pole, stone wall or to the fence. A square shade cloth is most suitable for a garden or terrace.
